Pop up beach tents tend to come in two varieties, those where the flexible steel supports are incorporated into the fabric and those where the steel supports are arranged as an external skeleton.
The latter type tend to be just a little more stable and sturdy, especially in blowy sea breezes. However, the exo-skeleton type can sometimes be just a little more difficult to erect.
That’s not the case with the EasyGo shelter. Setting it up, taking it down again and packing it away couldn’t be easier. Check the short video at the end of this post for a demonstration. You’ll be amazed at how easily it goes up!
Take it with you and get some shade when you’re at the beach, beside the lake, watching sports or just enjoying a bit of fresh air in general.
When viewed from the side, it looks a bit like a cross between a large beach umbrella and a beach tent. You can definitely sense that it has evolved from an umbrella like ancestor I think.
When it’s set up, it measures 48″ in height, 96″ across the front opening and 48″ from the front to the back of the tent.
That’s plenty of room for two adults and a couple of kids. However, the low overall height means that you won’t fall foul of the sand police on beaches where they have a limit on the maximum height of beach tents.
The material used provides protection against the sun’s rays to UPF 50+, which means that over 98% of harmful UV rays will be filtered out.
The fabric is also water repellent – and you can clean the tent by wiping it with a damp sponge or cloth.
There are three windows fitted, one in the rear panel and one in each side panel. You can close the flaps for privacy and protection from the breeze, or open them to get a little extra ventilation, just like you would with a beach umbrella.
6 plastic stakes are provided to secure the unit. 4 go on the legs of the tent and the other two can be used with the tie down cords on the side leg if conditions are very breezy.
The stakes are provided in their own handy little pouch so that you can keep them together and they’ll be easy to find whenever you’re setting up your tent.
There are also 3 sand pockets included at the base on the sides and the back. You can fill these with sand, pebbles or small stones and rocks to provide even more security in windy conditions.
When it’s time to go, the tent folds down easily and can be carried in its own handy pouch. The pouch is generously sized, so you won’t need to fold and refold it to make it fit. Folded down, the dimensions are 42″ X 6″ X 6″ and it weighs approximately 6 pounds – so it’s very easy to carry around with you.
Here’s a short video that shows just how easy set up and take down is for this top quality beach tent:
Overall, this is a well made, easily transportable tent that performs well in sea breezes and is easy to put up and take down. It should add to your beach enjoyment for years to come.
