Wenzel Vortex 4
This is the Vortex 4 person tent. It may be the baby of the family, but it is really quite spacious. Up to three people will be quite comfortable in the space, and 4 could make it at a snug fit.
The floor area is 67 square feet and measures 9′ 1″ x 8′. There’s plenty of headroom (58″ at the peak).
It weighs 11lbs 11 oz. and packs down easily for storage and transportation in the supplied carry bag.
Set up is also very easy and can be done by just one person using the supplied dual action pump. Check out the video below for a demo:
The video actually shows one of the larger Wenzel Vortex tents being set up, but the principle is pretty much the same. The smaller tent is even faster and easier. It should take about one minute to inflate the AirPoles for the Wenzel 4.
The canopy is 800 mm class polyester with Wenzel’s “Weather Armor” water resistant coating and won’t sag when wet. The floor is a durable 1000 denier welded polyethylene, easily tough enough to stand up to normal wear and tear.
There’s one door at the end, which also has a mesh window in it for ventilation. There are a further two mesh windows on the side walls and the rear wall has a further vent for excellent air circulation.
Pre-attached guys ropes and stakes can be used for additional stability.
